banana and sunflower

Is it Ok to plant the sunflower and banana in the same area. Will they benefit from each other?

Plant Guides Answer

Banana plants like rich, moist soil and sun. Sunflowers will also thrive under these conditions.

As long as the plants you want to put into a bed or border enjoy the same growing conditions, they should grow well together.

Keep in mind, when planting sunflowers, that they will turn to face the sun throughout the day. Make sure you site them where they will be facing you at the time of day that you will be around to enjoy them.
