Can you point me in the direction to identify a rose?

by Gloria Capocci
(London)

My neighbour bought three of them in a newspaper offer a few years ago and has no idea what they are but they are stunning!!!!

Huge deep rich red rose........... 6" bloom? (Handspan size) densely packed petals
fades to vaguely purple after a long time.

5' tall and probably Hybrid Tea type
long, strong, straight stems.

Appears to be resistant to disease given that it is the only rose in the area without black spot this year.

DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE THORNS

No fragrance

ANY IDEAS???

Will try and get a picture when I have worked out how to work my new camera if required.

I can't say for sure without seeing it, but it sounds like it may be 'Mister Lincoln'.

There are other dark red roses listed here.

Good luck in finding it.
