It is super easy to freeze bananas. All you have to do is peel them and place them into heavy duty zipper bags. Then stick them in the freezer.
Once the bananas are frozen, you can easily break off the number you need.
You can slice the bananas before you freeze them but why bother? It is easy to break whole frozen bananas into chunks before you can them into blender or mash them up to use in baking.
Freezing bananas changes their texture. While you might want to eat frozen chocolate covered bananas; you wouldn't want to thaw frozen bananas and eat them. They work beautifully in cooked or frozen recipes. I use them to make smoothies and banana bread.

Making Desserts from Frozen Bananas
Break the bananas into chunks with your fingers before mashing them up to use in bread recipes.
Just break them in half and insert a stick into the broken end before making chocolate covered frozen bananas.
To make a frozen strawberry banana smoothie: place 2 frozen bananas (broken into chunks) and half a cup of frozen strawberries into a blender with 2 cups of almond milk and puree until smooth.
Optional Add Ins
To the above, I always add 1 teaspoon of dolomite powder for extra calcium and magnesium and 2 tablespoons of strawberry jam for extra sweetness.
Makes a pitcher full.
