My review of the Grand Wailea Resort Maui on Wailea beach. The luxurious Grand Wailea Hotel Maui is a 40 acre resort whose centerpiece is a 27,700 square foot water park.
Wailea Canyon features a 2,000 foot river pool that slithers through man-made valleys, beneath waterfalls and white water rapids, through caves, grottos, and tunnels, past a snack bar and a Jacuzzi that overlooks a scenic hillside. Wailea Canyon boasts six slides, four waterfalls, and the world’s first water elevator.Guests enter on the lower level and are lifted to the higher level of the pool where they can begin their water adventure all over again. There is an adults only Hibiscus Pool from which bathers can see the beach and the Chapel Garden. The bottom of the Hibiscus Pool displays a huge mosaic of Hawaii’s state flower:
the hibiscus.
