Kale Chips Recipes

Recipes for baked and also dehydrated kale chips. Roasted or raw kale chip recipes. A tasty, healthy snack food. A novel way to get kids to eat their greens!

Baked Kale Chips

  • 3-6 fresh kale leaves
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • Wash and dry the kale. Cut the stems and center stalks out and discard them.

    Pour some olive oil in a large bowl. Sprinkle salt into it. Tear the kale leaves into large pieces and toss them in the salted oil.

    Spread the oiled leaves out on baking sheets. (Lining the cookie sheets with parchment will make clean up much easier.) Roast the kale pieces in a 300 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until they become crisp.

    Allow the chips to cool before serving them.

    Raw Kale Chip Recipe

    Prepare the fresh greens as above. Only instead of putting them on cookie sheets spread them out on dehydrator trays. Dry the greens for approximately 6 hours but start checking them after 4 to make sure they don't over dry.

    You can add other seasonings to both chip recipes. Some spices that go well with kale are chili, onion, and garlic powder.
