Lime Tree Planting

When can you plant a Mexican lime tree?

Plant Guide's Answer:

Mexican lime trees (also called Key lime trees) are tender and will freeze if winter temperatures fall much below the freezing point.

Because of this, the best time to plant one of these citrus trees is in late spring. This gives the tree the longest amount of time to settle in before facing winter weather.
