This sweet potato cinnamon bundt cake is baked in a 10 cup bundt pan. It is spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves and glazed with an orange butter bundt cake icing.
If you are worried about getting the cake out of the bundt cake pan without tearing it, don't be. I'm going to tell you how to get it to slip out perfectly.
Bundt Cake Glaze Ingredients
Butter the pan generously with 2 tablespoons of softened butter on a piece of wax paper. Then dust it with flour. Shake the excess flour off.
Now, closely examine the inside of the bundt pan.
The flour will be absent from spots you have missed with the butter. Butter all the bare spots.
Now, scrape the batter into the pan and bake the cake.
Just before you take the sweet potato bundt cake out of the oven, wet a kitchen towel with hot water and lay it in the sink. Remove the bundt cake from the oven and immediately set the pan on the dish towel. Leave it there for about 30 seconds.
Using pot holders or oven mitts, immediately invert the bundt cake onto a rack. It will slip right out of the bundt cake pan, no problem.
