There Is a White Powder on My Pentas What Is It?

I have a Pentas plant growing in my garden. Suddenly, there is a white powder on it. What is this and how do I get rid of it?

Plant Guides Answer

The white powder that has appeared on your Pentas plant is most likely powdery mildew.

This is a fungus that mainly affects plants in cold, damp weather.

If your Pentas is growing in a shady location, moving into full sun will probably keep this from happening in the future.

For now, spray it with a fungicide and avoid getting the foliage wet when you water it.
